The 52-year-old relative of the royal was arrested for driving under the influence by Oregon State Police at 1:33 AM, and then taken into custody.

The Associated Press claims Thomas Wayne Markle Jr was "visibly intoxicated" when pulled over in his auto at 1.30am on Friday morning - and was taken directly to a "detox centre". His vehicle was also impounded, authorities confirm to PEOPLE.
