Maurizio Sarri has revealed that Chelsea FC starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi has been acting "very normal" despite the transfer speculation surrounding the teenager's future at Stamford Bridge.

Callum Hudson-Odoi will not find a bigger club to play for than Chelsea, according to team-mate Marcos Alonso.

But Bayern, who trail league leaders Borussia Dortmund by six points, are still chasing their man and Salihamidzic sees Hudson-Odoi as an ideal player for the club.

"We really want to sign him", said Bayern's director of sport Hasan Salihamidzic.

The young Chelsea winger dazzled with an impressive performance against Spurs in the League Cup on Tuesday night, but it all seems a little too late for the Blues, who have been doing their best to try and convince him into staying.

Hudson-Odoi has remained tight-lipped on his future at Stamford Bridge, which appears to be bright after eight appearances for the first-team this campaign.

Chelsea lost their League Cup first leg tie against Tottenham Hotspur 1-0, after a controversial Harry Kane goal. He can develop here but he can develop in Germany as well - and don't forget Bayern Munich are also a big club.

'All credit to him, he has shown what he is capable of, shown why he is getting this attention and hopefully he signs his contract and does it many more times for Chelsea'.

Edwards believes it is a compliment to the quality of players emerging from Chelsea's academy that European giants such as Bayern are prepared to stump up £35m to buy them.

"The guy stopped, if we have to wait for VAR I think he has to continue, but he stopped in the middle of the park".

"Of course, as a young player it's very important to play".

"Maybe we were unlucky because they only had one chance and that was thanks to the linesman, the VAR", Alonso said.
