Kareem Hunt gave his first interview since being released by the Kansas City Chiefs following TMZ releasing a video that showed the running back shoving and kicking a woman at a Cleveland hotel in February.

"[What is] on those videos, that's not me".

Hunt, who was released by the Chiefs after being placed on the NFL's Commissioner Exempt List on Friday, was seen on the video shoving and kicking a 19-year-old woman in the early hours of February 10.

If you watched the Hunt interview preparing to tee off on the league for not trying hard enough, for Hunt seeming to only feel bad about getting caught, for the moral high ground that comes with hearing someone else say "I realized what I did once I saw the video", than the 10-minute piece provided everything you could have wanted. "And I'm extremely embarrassed because of that video".

Hunt said if he got the chance to speak to the woman in the video again he would say, "I am sorry for my actions that night". I'm not that type of person. Rice hopes he can serve as an example in his post-playing years, and "continue in a way where I can best help the most people".

A Chiefs statement said: "Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt". Also, the Browns now are run by the guy who drafted Hunt in Kansas City.

"But we have a strong support system, both with the coaching staff and also with our player development that works with young guys and talks to them about the situations that they want to be in", the chairman said. Hunt pushed and kicked a woman who called him a N*gger and wouldn't leave his hotel room. Riddick sees the Chiefs as not messing around after taking swift action by releasing Hunt.

"I deeply regret what I did. It was just a big, big mistake by me". Everything. I'm going to take the time to better myself and learn from this. "I see teams are hiring sports psychologists - and I don't have a formal degree for this - but after my experiences, I know that my peers in the National Football League need peers that have been through things and know how to see and present what the other side looks like".

According to Ian Rappaport, Hunt is facing a minimum of a six game suspension. He's since been released by the Kansas City Chiefs and his career is in doubt.
