LG has unveiled the new V40 ThinQ premium smartphone.

There's no confirmed United Kingdom release date just yet but it's likely that LG will be bringing its photo-obsessed flagship to our shores within the next few months. LG has also included a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ OLED display here, which is a big jump over the V30 that it released past year.

The V40 ThinQ is a flagship smartphone and flagship phones this year featured a glass back and the metal frame; It continues with the V40 ThinQ as well. The device is extremely photography-focused thanks to its rear triple-camera setup and front dual-camera setup, making for a total of 5 cameras overall.

The LG V40 ThinQ sports a new and improved 6.4-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) OLED FullVision display and a bottom bezel that is 1.6mm thinner than its predecessor. The LG V40 ThinQ will pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, as in the case of most flagship phones, with an Octa-core CPU alongside an Adreno 630 GPU.

Teenager Shaw's debut ton puts West Indies on backfoot
Kohli reached his 24th century in his 123rd innings, while Australia's Bradman took just 66 knocks to achieve the same feat. West Indies then enjoyed their best period, claiming three wickets for 37 runs as India stumbled at 571 for eight.

There is a 3000mAh battery capacity in the LG G7 and a 3300mAh battery in the LG V40, and both support fast charging and wireless charging. The phone also features IP68 water and dust resistant technologies and includes a headphone jack as well. The LG V40 is also tuned by Meridian.

The LG V40 ThinQ comes with a 12-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto system. This is made possible because of the Cine Shot mode. LG V40 ThinQ snaps some of the most incredible pictures that we ever have seen taken with a smartphone and this surely gives it the upper hand when compared to the current flagship smartphones available on the market right now. The leak further suggests that the three cameras will comprise of a standard angle lens, a super wide-angle lens, and a telephoto zoom lens. The 12-megapixel main camera comes with 1.4µm pixels size, f/1.5 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization, Dual Pixel autofocus.

Just like other ThinQ products, LG's new smartphone also leverages the new Artificial Intelligence platform. It runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with LG UX which is said to be Android 9.0 (Pie). The big, expensive Android phone is a direct competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and at least at first glance, it has all of the individual ingredients needed to take it on.

About the price, the LG V40 ThinQ comes with a price tag of $900 or Rs 66,370 for the base 6GB/64GB internal storage variant but since LG has stated earlier that it will bring down the cost of LG ThinQ smartphones below Rs 50,000, it will be a head-on competition to OnePlus 6T and others in the segment. The notch is no surprise since LG has already featured it on previous releases and now nearly every smartphone company has a device with it. Currently, there is no word on the global availability of the device.
