Russia Claims Someone Deliberately Sabotaged The International Space Station NASA investigates space station hole, plans spacewalk

Chawla and six fellow crew members died when the space shuttle Columbia was destroyed during re-entry into the atmosphere on February 1, 2003.

NASA has issued an update about the leak that was discovered on the International Space Station a little more than a month ago - and it suggests the event is not as serious as some have feared.

But NASA, the United States space agency, countered in a statement that ruling out defects "does not necessarily mean the hole was created intentionally or with mal-intent". NASA astronauts Drew Füstel and Ricky Arnold and Oleg Artimyev of Roskosmos landed in the southeast of Kazak town of Kazakhstan at 11.45 pm on global time.

The crew, which were part of Expedition 56, rode the Russian Soyuz MS-08/54S spacecraft back to our planet, and everything about the departure and descent appears to have gone just according to plan.

Expedition 55 Flight Engineers Drew Feustel and Ricky Arnold stepped outside of the International Space Station for the second of two related EVAs, completing the primary objectives of upgrading cooling system hardware and installing new and updated communications equipment for future dockings of commercial crew spacecraft.

It's been over a month since we first learned of the apparently man-made hole that caused a small air leak on the International Space Station.

"Love is all around us and we are all around the world", Feustel wrote on Twitter. The spacewalk timed out at 7 hours and 46 minutes, the longest in Russian space program history.

The hole has since been fixed with tape and sealant, stopping the oxygen break, and authorities said the current group, comprising of three USA space explorers, two Russian cosmonauts and one German, were never in any threat. They are slated for launch aboard a Russian Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft on October 11 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, NASA said.
