FBI agents investigating U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh have contacted the second woman to accuse him of sexual misconduct, her attorney said on Saturday.
Ramirez, a former Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh's, said the judge exposed himself to her at a 1983 party while she and friends were playing a drinking game.
Ramirez, a Boulder County employee, told The New Yorker magazine for a story published September 23 that Kavanaugh had exposed himself to her at a college party decades ago.
A lawyer for PJ Smyth, another person whom Ms Ford said was in the house when she was attacked, said his client was "happy to cooperate fully with this FBI investigation". Blasey said that both Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge, who she said was in the room when the alleged assault against her occurred, were "stumbling drunk". Kavanaugh has vehemently denied all of the allegations.
Committee investigators have actively pursued a number of tips the committee has received regarding the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, though the committee has not been able to substantiate any allegations of wrongdoing by Judge Kavanaugh.
Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) assailed the investigation in an appearance on ABC's "This Week With George Stephanopoulos", calling the check a "farce" and demanding that the FBI leave the investigation open-ended.
"Actually, I want them to interview whoever they deem appropriate, at their discretion".

McConnell urged Trump to support Kavanaugh but to avoid attacking his accusers, warning that he was in charge of counting votes and those kinds of disparaging remarks could cause him to lose Republican senators whose votes could be key to confirming Kavanaugh, including Susan Collins of ME and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, they said.
Investigators compile information about the nominee's past and then provide findings to the agency that requested the background check - in this case, the White House. Ford divulged the details of her charge in a nationally televised hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday, and two more women have come forward publicly claiming episodes of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh.

"I was pushed onto the bed and Brett got on top of me", she told the panel, adding she believed he was going to rape her. But the attorney emphasized that Keyser has no recollection of the party where Ford alleges Kavanaugh assaulted her.
For their part, Democrats, who rightly believe that a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land demands extraordinary scrutiny of the nominee, kept pressing for an Federal Bureau of Investigation probe. He said, "I have no memory of this alleged incident ... do not recall the party" and "never saw Brett act in the manner Dr. Ford describes".
