President Donald Trumpsigned an executive order Wednesday to stop the separation of migrant parents and children at the southern border. "Those who are responsible are the immigrant parents and the politicians who encourage them to come".
He did not immediately provide details of the bill, but said that it resolves the issue of so-called Dreamers, undocumented adult migrants who entered the U.S. as children, "in a very elegant way".
Earlier Wednesday morning, Trump blamed Democrats, tweeting, "It's the Democrats fault, they won't give us the votes needed to pass good immigrationlegislation".
She also said the groups want Walmart to denounce the Trump administration's policy and for its CEO to encourage President Donald Trump to rescind it immediately, something Trump said Wednesday he will do.
He also said the company is not working on any projects with the U.S. government related to separating children from their families at the border.
What court orders is he talking about? The ruling bars the government from keeping children in detention for more than 20 days.
It's also unclear whether Trump's order will stand up to legal muster.
The president directed Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen to maintain custody of detained families during criminal proceedings and as their asylum claims are adjudicated.
Several hundred protesters, chanting "Keep families together!" marched in New York City. Finally, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is directed to prioritize the adjudication of cases involving detained families.

The former president concluded by saying "we have to do more than say 'this isn't who we are.' We have to prove it - through our policies, our laws, our actions, and our votes".
However, the order contains an ill-defined stipulation that some children might be exempt: "The Secretary shall not, however, detain an alien family together when there is a concern that detention of an alien child with the child's alien parent would pose a risk to the child's welfare".
Kenneth Wolfe, a spokesman for the Department of Health and Human Services [HHS]' Administration for Children and Families [ACF], initially told reporters the children's cases would proceed through the system as usual.
The president's U-turn on the separation of children from their parents comes amid growing fury across the US's political spectrum over the detention of children, some as young as seven months old. "Perhaps, I'd rather be strong, but that's a tough dilemma".
What's the reaction to the executive order? This may mean that immigration activists, speaking for families being held indefinitely by the government, could legally challenge the executive order.
As of earlier this week, there were 11,786 children in HHS custody - both children separated from their parents and unaccompanied minors that illegally crossed the border alone.
That's the reality for so numerous families whose plights we see and heart-rending cries we hear.
