Royal newlyweds Harry and Meghan will visit the Republic of Ireland next month. Thomas also didn't tell Meghan, Harry, or any Kensington Palace official about it, to the detriment of those relationships.

Asked about what he thought about Meghan's mother attending the wedding, he said, "My ex-wife is a handsome woman". Prince Charles ended up doing the honors on wedding day, walking his now daughter-in-law down the aisle of the Quire of St. George's Chapel in Windsor, England.

"Thomas Markle says he feels like a "footnote in one of the greatest moments in history" after he was unable to attend his daughter's wedding to Prince Harry".

The 73-year-old said his daughter had cried when he informed them he wouldn't attend the wedding due to heart surgery - amid a furore after he was found to have received payment for staged paparazzi photographs.

Though Markle stole the show, Prince Harry was also at her side looking dapper in a top hat and with his beard looking as full and dashing as ever.

"I wish I had been there, I wish it had been me but thank god he was there and I thank him for that".

For the third time since joining the British royal family just weeks ago, Meghan chose to wear a Givenchy design.

Just days before the wedding, Thomas broke the news to Meghan in an emotional phone call. "Promise me you'll never raise your hand against my daughter, '" Thomas revealed. Harry said "I've got one of my military friends to look after you".

"He looked very handsome and my daughter looked attractive with him".

As they rode into the grounds, people cheered the carriage on and Meghan waved to the crowd - clearly growing more comfortable with the spotlight.

While we all know that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to have children soon, Meghan's father too confirmed the news on the interview.

"At the time, I didn't realise [the magnitude of dating a royal], I'm not even sure she realised that, I'm sure it's very complicated, the royals are very complicated, it's a whole different lifestyle".
