Apple iPhones likely to be cheaper than iPhone X

The larger iPhone X Plus appears to feature a 6.5-inch display making it dwarf the current 5.8-inch iPhone X. But where it should also excel is in camera quality thanks to a triple lens camera on the rear.

According to some sources, Apple has asked its iPhone suppliers to make about 20% fewer parts for the iPhones releasing in next half of 2018. Both these iPhones will be ultra-premium variants with top-notch features. The triple lens rear camera is said to come with 3D sensing and improved zoom functionality.

"Kuo believes that Apple may release three iPhones in fall 2018 - a relatively affordable 6.1-inch LCD iPhone, a new 5.8-inch OLED flagship (perhaps the iPhone X2) and a 6.5-inch OLED "iPhone Plus" model", reported CNET on Sunday.

Apple iPhone X Plus schematics leaked: The iPhone X Plus could come with a triple-rear camera configuration, as per a Forbes report.

Trump, Iran trade sharp words over oil prices ahead of OPEC meeting
Prior to Trump's April tweet, the price of oil had soared from $50 a barrel last fall to over $70. Trump tweeted on Wednesday: "Oil prices are too high, OPEC is at it again".

Also leaked is a blueprint for a "budget" iPhone which also looks rather similar to iPhone X, but still has some noticeable differences.

Apple's triple lens setup is now unknown, but it would make sense to copy Huawei's approach of a monochrome camera aiding the primary and telephoto modules. That's more compact than the current iPhone 8 Plus' 158.4 x 78.1mm.

According to the Forbes report, the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone could feature first-generation Face ID support, while sporting a larger notch than the iPhone X Plus. Last year, however, the new iPhones were launched in September but the iPhone X went on sale in November. And as seen on the schematics, the low-end iPhone will be equipped with a single camera on back. It's expected to feature a steel chassis and weigh slightly more than the iPhone 8 Plus (202g). The budget model is also said to sport a near bezel-less display like the iPhone X, although we're not sure how Apple will manage to make that happen with an LCD iPhone that's supposed to cost less.

The 6.1-inch phone measures 147.12 x 71.52mm and is understandably taller than the X (143.6 x 70.9mm), given its bigger screen (6.1-inch vs 5.8-inch).
