Elon Musk Sells Out 20,000 Flamethrowers in Just a Few Days

Flame on! Elon Musk says Boring Company delivers its first ‘Not-a-Flamethrowers’ Elon Musk and the Boring Company Deliver its First 'Not a Flamethrower' Flamethrowers

"Flamethrower (obviously) best way to light your fireplace/BBQ".

The first 1,000 of these flamethrowers were handed out to customers at the company's offices in Hawthorne, California this weekend. Well, the most logical guess would be that Musk's Boring Company raising $1 million from sold hats and a further $10 million from Not a Flamethrowers, minus production and shipping costs, could be contributing to Musk's multiple start-ups without taking on the same debt or diluting ownership like most ventures usually would.

The Boring Company, Musk's tunnel construction firm, claimed to have sold 20,000 of the weapons at $500 each, netting a total of $10m (£7.5m). "For simple & concise instructions, we drew upon wisdom in great Dr Seuss book "Green Eggs and Ham".

Right now, The Boring Company's website says they are sold out of "not a flamethrower", but you may want to check back soon.

Musk said the device was renamed Not-a-Flamethrower, "due to recent regulatory/customs rules enacted to inhibit transport of anything called a Flamethrower". Instead, they work more like large propane blowtorches.

Now Elon Musk has completed his hottest project ever with the release of a super-dangerous new flamethrower.

"When the zombie apocalypse happens, you'll be glad you bought a flamethrower", he tweeted.

The billionaire said his company will ship a so-called "ice blaster" before the winter.

"I love fire", a 28-year-old tech company owner told The Guardian after picking up his new flamethrower in a rectangular white box at SpaceX. A tweet from Musk urged people to avoid "unintentionally burning things down". The electric sled would allow for cars to be transported at 150 miles per hour through the tunnel, Musk has said. It has been the most dramatic fundraising technique for The Boring Company by Elon Musk to date and it met its fair share of resistance as well.
