Actress Eunice Gayson, the first Bond girl in the James Bond movies, has died, according to a tweet from the franchise's page.

Gayson's Twitter account posted the news, writing that she was "an wonderful lady who left a lasting impression on everyone she met".

Over a game of cards Bond, played by Sean Connery, asks her for her name: "I admire your courage, Miss, er?"
