Dark Souls: Remastered Switch Version Delayed to Ambigious 'Summer' Release Date

'Dark Souls: Remastered' on Nintendo Switch Delayed to 'Later This Summer' Dark Souls: Remastered for Switch slips to “later this summer”

Dark Souls: Remastered will run $39.99 and release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on May 25th.

Based on other tweets and a press release from Bandai Namco, it seems the decision to delay Dark Souls Remastered is to make sure everything is running as smoothly as possible on Nintendo's latest console. These links leave Siliconera. For many, including myself, it is one of the surprise releases of the year and we're all really looking forward to getting the chance to play the original Souls game again.

What we're trying to say is that Nintendo Switch owners who haven't yet been able to experience the game - or just want to take it with them wherever they may roam - are going to want to add this remaster to their wishlist.

Furthermore, Bandai Namco has delayed the Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered from May 25th to a now mysterious summer release.

This is a slight step back from the title being showcased at PAX East, however the publisher has tried to assure fans that "this time will ultimately be used to improve your journey to Lordran". All of these platforms excluding the Nintendo Switch will receive Dark Souls: Remastered on May 25th.

PC/PS4/X1 versions will maintain their May 25th release dateI will admit, I am slightly disappointed that Dark Souls Remastered isn't as remastered as I would have hoped. It packs in the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. And the multiplayer mode will now allow up to six players across all versions.
