Barbara Bush is in failing health and will not seek additional medical treatment, the Bush family spokesman announced Sunday.

A third comment added: "Thoughts with one of America's most loved women, former First Lady Barbara Bush".

The source said she is being cared for at her home in Houston and has decided she does not want to go back into the hospital. "Bush, now age 92, has decided not to seek additional medical treatment and will instead focus on comfort care", the statement put out by the family's spokesperson, Jim McGrath read. Her husband, the 41st U.S. president, is 93 years old.

One person wrote: "Barbara Bush was the first First Lady I remember and she was smart, strong and graceful".

Worst Game 1 loss since the last worst Game 1 loss — LOVERRO
Still, for a franchise with a patent pending on postseason heartbreak, it does make Sunday's second game all the more critical. Only once (in the 2008-09 first round against the New York Rangers) have the Capitals overcome a 2-0 deficit to win a series.

Her 94-year-old husband also has had health issues in recent years.

Mrs. Bush, 92, has been hospitalized several times in Houston, Texas, over the past year to be treated for chronic pulmonary disease and congestive heart failure, her family has said.

People are generally aware that Bush Sr. suffers from a form of Parkinson's disease that has him in a wheelchair; however, most were not aware of the former first lady's health problems, which started about two years ago. Her father was the publisher of McCall's and Redbook magazines.
