Fortnite was initially played on consoles like Xbox and personal computers, now its making history as one of the few console games to make the successful transition onto your phone.

His livestream - on which he joined the shoot-'em'-up adventure Fortnite with players including video-game star Ninja - drew 628,000 viewers, Twitch said, far outpacing the previous record of 388,000. The stream broke Twitch's all-time concurrent records (for non-tournaments), with more than 600,000 watching at its peak. When Ninja asks, "Does pineapple belong on pizza?"

The first video is from the period in the stream when he and Drake were playing duos.

It all started with Drake following Ninja on Instagram and the two eventually got into contact with each other about getting some games in on Fortnite.

Drake uses the John Wick-inspired skin. For the uninitiated, Fortnite is a popular survival game, and Twitch is a live-streaming platform where gamers can watch each other play.

When Scott and Smith-Schuster joined, the team formed a four-man squad - 100 players take part in each Fortnite battle.

Drake tipped fans off to his participation via his Twitter account.

Drake now has more than 36 million followers on the social network. His penchant for commentary and self-promotion, especially for Twitch's Prime subscription, has earned him more than 50,000 subscribers in just over a week, as the Twitch Reddit community noted.

It will compete in the Multiplayer and Evolving Game categories, but missed out on the Best Game group.
