Apple might bring Animoji to iPad and FaceTime in future iOS update

iOS 12 for iPads Looks Like a Big Bummer New iOS update lets users stop Apple from slowing down phones

According to Bloomberg, however, this is more than just a periodic pause for Apple to catch its metaphorical breath. Apple might also wait on rolling out some new Apple Pencil features, as well as a new toggle in the email app to mute threads.

The report further suggests that Apple might also bring the Animojis to its FaceTime feature as well, this will allow the consumers to use the AR (Augmented Reality) feature while on a video call.

Apple Inc. has reportedly chose to slow down its annual software updates for iOS and macOS and instead will spread out new features over the next two years.

"Instead of keeping engineers on a relentless annual schedule and cramming features into a single update, Apple will start focusing on the next two years of updates for its iPhone and iPad operating system, according to people familiar with the change", reported Bloomberg.

A report surfaced this year that Apple was planning to slow-down update process for iOS 12 with a focus on performance over new features.

After receiving a number of complaints, the company has made a decision to halt new features for next two years and will be more focused on improving the operating system. It talks about all the new features that the new OS update will bring to iPhones and iPads. If the latest report is anything to consider, Apple is apparently working on a new iPad which will come with inbuilt Face ID.

In other Apple-related developments, a recent leak of iOS-based source code has been traced to a "low-level" employee who shared the software with a small group of friends two years ago.

Along with these new changes and many more, Apple is changing the way it develops and introduces new products.

Apple's iOS 12 is rumored to feature Animoji in FaceTime, improved Siri integration, and new Do Not Disturb features and more.

Arguably more damaging to Apple's reputation are those features which have been released but haven't worked quite as intended. A redesigned version of Apple's Stocks app and a Digital Health tool to allow parents keep track of their children's onscreen time are also on the way. The Cupertino company is reportedly switching things up for this year's batch of major updates.

What you won't get are a redesigned home screen for the iPhone, iPad, and CarPlay, and an overhauled Photos app that offers up suggestions for images to view - they're going on the back-burner.
