Price increase at Disney World, Disneyland

In October 2015 Disney introduced flexible pricing at U.S. parks as an incentive for guests to visit during less busy times. Company officials said Sunday that this program will evolve in 2018 to address the visitation patterns of their guests Disney raises ticket, annual pass prices at Disneyland and Walt Disney World

A ticket during "peak" periods will cost $135, an $11 increase. Disney has "adjusted" its prices at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. The "value" ticket will cost $97, no change.

At Disneyland, the regular price of admission at the Anaheim, California, park will rise to $117, which is a $7 change. On regular and peak days, Disney is raising the price of Park Hoppers by less than it is one-day, one-park tickets, suggesting that Disney would really rather you hop over to California Adventure for part of your day at Disneyland than crowding just the one park all day.

As for annual passes, the least-expensive pass costs 729 USA dollars, up from 619 US dollars.

The company says they hope the price hike will prevent overcrowding at the theme parks.

Ticket prices are going up at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, but the increase shouldn't come as a surprise. The prices for Signature and Deluxe annual passes are going up by more than 17 percent, as is the renewal price for a SoCal annual pass, which is no longer available for sale to new customers.

Turkish military says another soldier killed in Syria

Walt Disney said on Sunday it was changing the admission price for its U.S. theme parks, raising the cost of some single-day tickets by nearly 9 per cent. Former Signature pass costs 849 USA dollars, which includes free parking, goes up to 999 US dollars while the most expensive Signature Plus pass, with free parking and an online app to board rides faster, is now 1,149 USA dollars, up from 1,049 US dollars. Daily tickets rose as much as $11.

If you want to go to the Animal Kingdom, Epcot or Hollywood studios you'll have to pay more too.

"Given the small percentage of guests that purchase a 1-day ticket at Walt Disney World, extending pre-published, date-specific pricing to multi-day tickets will further advance our efforts spread to attendance throughout the year", said Andrea Finger, spokeswoman for Walt Disney World.

However, Sunday's move was widely expected as the park prepares for the 2019 opening of its much-anticipated "Star Wars" land.
