The Grizzlies were expected to move guard Tyreke Evans, who becomes an unrestricted free agent after the season, before Thursday's deadline.

Asked how he felt, Evans laughingly said "rested".

It has seemed like Tyreke Evans trade rumors have been floating around the National Basketball Association all season.

According to TNT's David Aldridge, Memphis had offers on the table that included multiple second-round picks for weeks before the deadline. Wouldn't two second-round picks have benefitted the team more as they try to upgrade the roster talent and save money? A number of teams have made trade offers to the #Memphis Grizzlies for the talented wing, but an offer hasn't impressed them yet.

Viewed as a potential difference-maker for playoff teams down the stretch, Evans had carried the Grizzlies many nights and had a huge hand in most of their 18 wins so far this season.

Evans, who is averaging 19.5 points, five rebounds and five assists this season, last played January 29 when he scored 27 points in the Grizzlies 120-109 win over the Phoenix Suns. These NBA trade rumors have been reported by basketball analyst Adrian Wojnarowski, who states that the Grizzlies have countered those offers.

"I really don't know how it's going to turn out, but I've heard there's a lot of interest out there for me, and that's a good thing", Evans said.

For this season, the Grizzlies find themselves in an interesting position.

In the last two weeks before the trade deadline, the Grizzlies did not make Wallace available to local media.
