Previous reports have claimed that LG would be launching an advanced version of the LG V30 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.

LG is expected to announce the LG V30s smartphone at MWC 2018 on February 26 at 11:30 AM.

The V30s will purportedly share the same design as the original V30, but with a new AI-powered camera feature described as similar to Google Lens or Bixby Vision on the Pixel 2 and Samsung Galaxy S8, respectively.

Update (Jan 31): LG has now confirmed that the company is indeed planning to launch an upgraded version of the V30 at the Mobile World Congress.

The report went on to say that LG V30s would come with a price tag of 1 million won ($920 / €750).

A new variant of V30 will give LG the much-needed time to work on the G7, whose development is said to have been restarted from scratch. The LG V30 comes with 64GB of memory storage option. LG would give tough competition to Samsung's new Galaxy Note 8 and Apple's iPhone X smartphone if we compare the pricing of it.

This move to bring a V30-variant is reportedly a part of LG's new direction to extend the life of its premium handsets, rather than introducing new phones.

Beyond that, LG Lens might be enough to help the South Korean brand rival the camera smarts of the Google Pixel 2. The report says that the feature will allow users to search or shop for something using the camera sensor, help them translate languages using the camera like Google Translate, and provide AR functionality using Global Positioning System and the camera. Just open the camera app and see the object through it, it would show you the details of that particular shop with more information.

Sadly, there is no any information about the phone's availability in other markets as of now. It's said LG will unveil the V30s at MWC 2018 which is at the end of this month.

LG is rumored to be announcing a revised version of the LG V30 at MWC and we're now hearing more about what that phone might offer.
