Even before Anderson's latest arrest, it seemed possible the Jets could explore signing a prominent receiver in free agency (Jarvis Landry?), considering how much salary cap space they have.

Technically, the charge is "harm to a public servant or family", but it was one of the nine charges filed against Robby Anderson, 24, on January 19, according to the New York Daily News. Police say Anderson was driving 105 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour zone. The report also alleges that Anderson said "that when he got out he was going to find my wife, f**k her and nut in her eye".

According to the police report, when Anderson was arrested and put in the back of the police vehicle, he made sexual threats to the officer's wife.

In May, authorities confirmed the wide receiver was charged with resisting arrest and obstruction of justice after sparring with officials who asked him to leave a Miami music festival.

Anderson was also charged with a misdemeanor of resisting arrest without violence and several traffic violations. He's supposed to appear in court for a hearing on March 19.

The New York Jets WR didn't make matters any better when the arresting officer revealed the nasty things he said to him during that arrest.

This past season, Anderson emerged as the Jets' number one receiver.

Does he realize that not many players that go undrafted actually make it in the NFL? Quincy Enunwa will return from neck surgery in 2018, but it remains unclear if he'll be as productive as he was before his injury.

It doesn't matter what Anderson did in his rookie year or his breakout season in 2017 with the Jets, he has no place in this locker room after his complete disregard for authority.
