The Secret Service is pushing back on President Donald Trump's attorney's remarks Sunday that there was nothing questionable going on at a meeting last summer between Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., a Russian lawyer and top members of Trump's campaign.

And as questions swirled about the propriety of meeting with the Russians, the president's personal lawyer Jay Sekulow, went on five news shows Sunday to defend Trump.

Taking a break from commenting on his son's June 2016 meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya, who allegedly promised Trump Jr. damaging information about Clinton ahead of the get-together, Trump wrote of golf game: "Thank you to all of the supporters, who far out-numbered the protesters, yesterday at the Women's U.S. Open".

Mr Sekulow appeared on five television networks on Sunday to defend Mr Trump and his son, following the latest accusations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.

However, as the story unfolds, it turns out that a Russian-American lobbyist who had served as a Soviet military officer, a translator and potentially an eighth person were also at the meeting at Trump Tower. "We now have Jared Kushner having to have three separate times where he forgot, conveniently forgot, about meetings with Russians".

Sekulow reiterated that he has seen no indication that the president is under investigation by either Special Counsel Robert Mueller or the House or Senate intelligence committees' probes.

The White House Reveals A 'Made In America' Themed Week
Trump and Pence also admired the other large vehicles parked on the White House lawn, including a front-end loader. Hytrol, based in Jonesboro, Ark., was chosen to represent the state at an event hosted by President Trump.

He said the president did not attend the meeting and was not aware of it.

Akhmetshin was said to have a relationship with Russian intelligence, a claim he dismissed as a libel campaign.

But, he added, the suggestion in the emails made clear that senior members of the Trump campaign were at least aware of Russia's preference in the US election in favor of Trump as early as June 2016.

"What do the Russians have politically, financially, or personally, on Donald Trump that he fawns over Putin, questions sanctions, and is reckless when it comes to Article 5 of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation?" He also argued that "collusion" is a political term, not a legal term. "And in fact there's been no information to the contrary", Sekulow said on CBS' Face the Nation. "The president had Secret Service protection at that point, and that raised a question with me". He denied any claims that the Trump campaign had received Russian assistance during the November election.

Kushner, Senior Advisor to the President, updated his security clearance form on June 21, 2017 to include the meeting.

Trump himself, spending the weekend at his golf club in New Jersey, spent part of the day again criticizing news coverage of his son, and attacking his 2016 opponent.
