Royal Jordanian and Kuwait Airways each said Sunday their passengers can once again bring laptop computers and other personal electronics on-board direct flights to the United States.

The national carriers of Jordan and Kuwait announced Sunday that passengers will once again be allowed to carry personal electronics, including laptops, on board USA -bound flights, ending a ban that had been imposed in March.

"At these hard times of illegal bans on flights out of my country by big bullies, this is an award not to me, not to my airline, but to my country", Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar al-Baker said at the Paris Air Show ceremony last month.

In March, the United States banned laptops and other large electronic devices on flights originating at 10 airports in eight countries - Egypt, Morocco, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Turkey - to tackle fears that bombs could be concealed in them.

Royal Air Maroc also believes [RAM.UL] it can have the ban lifted for flights out of Casablanca's Mohammed V International Airport by July 19, a senior official from the state-owned airline told Reuters.

Royal Jordanian Airlines announced Sunday its customers are no longer banned from carrying laptops onboard flights to the United States, the latest carrier to have the restriction removed by the USA government.

"Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport have met with all requirements of the United States department of homeland security's new security guidelines".

TSA said on Twitter on Thursday the restrictions on Qatar Airways and Hamad International had been lifted. The airline did not describe the new measures.

Qatar Airways has recently reclaimed the top spot in the 2017 Skytrax World's Best Airline rankings despite facing logistical challenges after several Arab countries chose to ban the carrier from using their airspace.
