The Trump administration has been receiving heat for meetings Kislya had with then-senator Jeff Sessions during the 2016 election.
According to Russian media reports cited by BuzzFeed and CNN, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Anatoly Antonov will replace Kislyak as us ambassador.
