Samsung plans to sell refurbished Galaxy Note 7 phones - which made headlines around the world for their battery explosion issues - under the moniker Galaxy Note FE, or "Fan Edition", starting next month.

As per reports, the Galaxy Note 8 has a dual camera of 12MP both on the back with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). At the rear, you can see the single camera and the flash.

The leaked renders show a smartphone which is nearly all- screen on the front. The Note FE will have the latest software update.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 8 and put an end to the spec speculation sometime in mid-to-late August, but it may be delayed until the middle of September. However, it shows a fingerprint sensor to the right of the cameras, which doesn't match with recent rumors, suggesting the fingerprint sensor will be moved to the middle of the backplate for easier access.

"Regarding the Galaxy Note 7 devices as refurbished phones or rental phones, applicability is dependent upon consultations with regulatory authorities and carriers as well as due consideration of local demand", said Samsung in a press release.

In terms of specifications, the Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel resolution of 1440×2960 pixels and 529ppi of pixel density. The rechargeable battery powering the device is believed to be rated at 3,300mAh. The RAM will be either 6GB or 8GB and the internal memory will be of 256GB. The dual rear camera setup will be able to simultaneously record 4K video and capture 9MP images.

Naturally, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 won't be a cheap smartphone.

Details about the Galaxy Note FE's release date and pricing were earlier reported by South Korea's semiofficial Yonhap News agency and local trade media.

There still are a few weeks to go until Samsung will launch its flagship of the year, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
