Southern California police are searching for a motorcyclist who was involved in an alleged road rage incident that injured one person on Wednesday.

The crash took place southbound 14 Freeway near Newhall in Santa Clarita around 6 a.m. The video shows the motorcyclist attempt to kick the side of the auto. The small auto then swerves out of control to the right before taking a sharp turn back the other way where it slams into the center divider in a shower of sparks.

The driver of the truck suffered "moderate" injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, Greengard said.

At the same time, a motorcyclist operating a "Harley Davidson type" of motorcycle was also traveling southbound, also inside the vehicle pool lane, to the left of the Nissan, he said. The auto swerves right and then left, and hits the center divider in a burst of flames.
