"Brandon has excelled in a variety of roles for a Panthers team that has consistently competed at a high-level in this league", Bills owner and CEO Terry Pegula said in a statement. Brandon has a feel for every facet of the football side of things - from personnel to the salary cap to operations to everything.

Beane has spent the past two seasons as the Panthers' assistant GM, working with GM Dave Gettleman.

Brandon Beane has been named the general manager of the Bills, the team announced Tuesday.

Buffalo fired general manager Doug Whaley one day after the conclusion of the NFL Draft.

Beane had been serving as Assistant General Manager of the Carolina Panthers.

Australia's Larissa Waters Breastfeeds In Parliament For The First Time Ever
Just before she returned to work this week, Waters told the newspaper she fully meant to make use of the new rule with Alia Joy . The Senate and House of Representative both adapted the new rules, making it a "family friendly" parliament in Australia.

Beane, 40, intereviewed once with Buffalo in the days following the draft, and then had a second interview this week.

Though the timing of Whaley's firing by the Pegula Family was both odd and cruel, bringing in a guy that new head coach Sean McDermott is familiar with is more logical. Green Bay Packers player personnel director Brian Gutekunst, Houston Texans player-personnel director Brian Gaine, and Philadelphia Eagles college scouting director Trey Brown were also interviewed by the Bills. He spent seven years as the Panthers director of football operations and was the team's interim general manager over the final 10 games of the 2012 season after Marty Hurney was sacked. McDermott has become the sole voice of the Bills in discussing all team-related issues, including free agency and the draft.

The Bills will hold an introductory press conference for Beane on Friday.

Beane has spent the past 19 years with the Panthers organization.
