Russia for international probe into chemical attack in Syria
Institute of Peace, a non-partisan think tank, said the attack on the al-Shayrat airbase told Moscow: "We are back on stage". The meeting was called to discuss the April 4 attack on the Syrian town of Khan Shaykhun that killed almost 90 people.

The latest disagreement dates back to previous year when Almeida, in a front page article, claimed civil authorities had asked the Inter-Service Intelligence spy agency to act against militants or face global isolation. Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and Pakistan People's Party leader Khursheed Shah said that he will bring up the issue in parliament.

Earlier in the day, in a tweet by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG Major General Asif Ghafoor, the Pakistan Army had rejected the prime minister's office notice, terming it incomplete and not in line with the inquiry boards recommendations.

"Reporter of story and publisher of story were not penalised in directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who sent his former Information Minister Pervaz Rasheed home and now sacked his Advisor to Foreign Affairs".

Interior Ministry Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan presented the final report of the inquiry committee to Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday.

Pakistan army had dismissed the story as "unfounded and planted" and called for a probe into the leak.

Analysts and observers had declared the original story a sign of the persistent civil-military divide in Pakistan, with many praising the open dialogue between the two institutions as a positive development for the democratic process.
